Project and Change Management


There are many types of Project, and the methods of Project Management seek to provide a framework for managing them all. 

The priciples were first formalized in the 1950's and have been evolving since with many overseeing bodies around the world. 

A neccessary consequence of this is that there are several methodologies, often using different terminologies.

Projects are about people management and people don't change as quickly or as predictably as we might like. 

Project Management practices can vary between industry sectors. Even otherwise similar companies may have very different approaches to change. 

Yet a Project Manager's core skills remain remarkably constant, and we look at these in this series of articles.
